Aquarium

Last week I paid a visit to the Georgia Aquarium. It is a great place to be and provides a lot of photo opportunities.

Never actually having shot in an Aquarium, the biggest challenge was to fight reflections. Many tanks were way too dark to not use a flash (where allowed) and having other folks cramming around the same glass, you need to be careful not to get them into the focus. Over the next few days/weeks I will be showing some fish here, starting out with two that I find interesting. (I should have written down what they are all called, not easy to research for smaller fish)

These Tuna were at the entrance, seemingly doing circles around you. Quite powerful fish.
Tuna?

If I remember correctly, they are called Clawfish. Easy to Photograph as they don't move muchTentacles

Smoke Rise

This weekend I was at Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Tucker, GA. I attended the Graduation of my Mother-in-Law (MIL) for her Dr. of Ministry and of course was asked to take a few snap-shots of the occasion.
Even though I am not a religious person I find that many churches have a great architectural value. Smoke Rise not excluded which had a very nice looking Sanctuary thus I was more impacted by simpler things like the game the light played, shadowing trees in the frosted glass.

It is a very simple photo but the twilight from the outside made it special for me.

The Church itself was rather traditional from the outside. Thus still not bad to look at.

Late Dogwood

It is pretty sad to come back to your Blog after literally month of absence. The last shots I posted here were from winter and we are approaching June now.

I have been out a little bit only as you can see from some interesting shots taken at the Dogwood Festival here in Atlanta. Work has just taken up so much of my time that I have not gotten to blogging much and very little taking picture.

I hope you enjoy some of the photos below, you can always see my Full-Size at http://mbgaleria.com. Having a week and a half of Vacation coming up I surely hope to get a tad more active again.

I decided to source my photos from Flickr from now on since I am not sure how much longer I will keep my account with Zenfolio (which is what mbgaleria.com is hosted by). It's a great service but too pricey for what I do.
